Our campus environment fosters learning
The Waterfront School that Embraces the World
After twelve years, the former campus in Kitsilano, Westside of Vancouver, was too small for the needs of our students. After a systematic search for a good location, we bought the land in the Harbourside Park in North Vancouver. The current campus was custom designed and completed in September 2003.
The south side of the school, extending from the glass curtain
wall of the cafeteria, opens to an extensive courtyard connecting
to the adjacent park, the waterfront walkway and the coastal shoreline.
Students have the tree-lined courtyard, the park, and the waterfront,
to muse quietly, read and discuss in groups, to chat or to just
relax. All these areas are within a safe distance of supervision
to ensure the safety and comfort of our students.
The new campus is completely modern, with facilities
that include a multi-purpose gym, indoor swimming pool, a tennis
court, a fitness centre, a presentation theatre, music rooms, library,
computer rooms, and the school ground is equipped with wireless
internet capabilities.
Our on-site dormitory provides rooms
with a view of the waterfront to the south and the breathtaking
North Shore Mountains. Healthy multi-cultural cuisine is provided
in the cafeteria which is open seven days a week and throughout
the year. Students have the option of remaining on campus for vacation.
Experienced supervisors oversee all academic and extracurricular
schedules. For further details, please refer to our "Dormitory"
link.
For students who choose our homestay
option, we have families that have been carefully screened and are
enthusiastic to host international students.
Public buses run between campus and the Lonsdale Quay: a Sea Bus
terminal ferrying to Vancouver's city centre every 15 minutes. |
