Drama education contributes to the development of an educated person by providing opportunities for students to experience situations like those they might encounter in real life, to make choices, and to take responsibility for their actions in a safe and nurturing environment. – BC Ministry of Education
Bodwell High School’s Drama program seeks to provide opportunities for self-expression and creativity in the form of performance and theatrical arts. Drama allows students to explore the humour, interpersonal situations, and emotions that characterize and parallel our daily lives. By providing a venue for English oral rehearsal, students are given the opportunity to develop their public speaking and presentation skills, while in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
The Drama class’ most recent production, Bodywell Health Sanitorium, played to packed audiences in Studio 104 this past summer.
