As part of the residence program, students have the opportunity to serve as Prefects. This honored and well respected position is for those students who understand the significant responsibility of being a Prefect and will strive to exemplify the ideals of both the school and the dormitory by demonstrating leadership, integrity, and respect.

Students apply for a Prefect position and are chosen by staff based on the student’s references, his/her demonstrated leadership ability, commitment, and character. Younger students have the opportunity to be “Junior Prefects” while older students who have served as a Prefect can become a “Senior Prefect,” giving them more responsibilities and overseeing the Prefect Program.
Our regular evening schedule includes a supervised Study Time for 90 minutes, 5 days a week. We aim to make this as educationally beneficial as possible by having trained teachers and dorm staff working with students during this time. In order to ensure that students maximize Study Time, attendance and productivity marks are recorded daily and form part of their monthly evaluation report; this is made available to parents, counselors and teachers.
