Longonot Secondary School is located approximately 15 kilometres from Maai Mahiu. It is located at the base of Mount Longonot, a local volcano, pictured below:

Longonot region is the most arid of the three schools we are partnered with; in fact, a borehole driven into the soil at Longonot will release not water - but bad-smelling steams and gases from geothermal activity.
