Outings with Counselors
All outings and sightseeing trips are lead and supervised by Bodwell Counselors. Counselors live on-site to provide 24 hour care and supervision before and after class time. They come from various professional fields of education, recreation, training and counseling. All students will be placed in Counselor groups based on age, gender and a balanced mix of nationalities. Each student receives attention from our staff to ensure that they are adjusting.

Some of our outings include hiking, canoeing, visiting famous attractions, exploring museums, and shopping. View our itineraries on the Program pages for many of the exciting places you can visit! Each evening, after returning to the campus, each counselor group participates in team building games and activities. Team Time, as we call it, helps to strengthen each group by learning more about each other and developing trust.

At the end of the program, students will get to attend our Farewell Party and take part in our mini-Olympic Games. At the party, students can take pictures with their new friends, dance, enjoy some snacks and dress up in costumes! Bodwell's Mini-Olympic Games brings lots of excitement as groups compete in various outdoor activities. Both of these events are highlights of the Program that our students look forward to every year!
