Yes! Though the majority of our students live in boarding, Bodwell has served many local students and families throughout our 35-year history. Local students benefit from our academic standards, personalized university preparation, advanced learning academies, and more. Local students also value the opportunity to learn with and from diverse students from across Canada and around the world.

Local students are welcome to apply to Bodwell for Grades 8-12. Students can come as day students, weekly boarding students, or full boarding students. ​

While Bodwell is proud to be Western Canada’s most diverse private school, our community is made up of globally-minded Canadian students from North Vancouver, across Metro Vancouver, and around Canada. A typical Bodwell student speaks 2-3 world languages (or more) and is excited to build a network of diverse peers from 40+ countries worldwide for future global studies and careers. Certainly, boarding students travel from distant communities to live at Bodwell for its immersive boarding life, safety and structure, advanced learning opportunities, and global connections. At the same time, day students also enjoy many of these exact benefits: rigorous academics, personalized pathways, co-curricular activities, exciting school events, and friendships with students from all over the world. Day students are welcome on campus during most after-school and on weekends times to work on group projects or just to hang out with friends.​ BC Resident Canadian Day students are also welcome to consider our Weekday Boarding program.

For BC families within driving distance of Metro Vancouver (e.g. Richmond, Langley, Squamish, Surrey, etc.), Bodwell’s Weekday Boarding provides the structure of boarding and the flexibility of family weekends — all within a world-class, preparatory, academy-rich, and student-supportive environment.

Students live on campus from Sunday night to Friday afternoon, and then, with the help of our convenient shuttle (pending demand), return home to connect with family on weekends and holidays. It’s the best of both worlds. A global boarding experience is waiting for you!​

For our 35th Anniversary, we are holding BC and Canadian tuition and boarding fees at manageable rates for families, while offering the same outstanding features enjoyed by our international students and families. Parents will find that our fees are highly competitive with other top private schools, especially considering Bodwell charges no enrolment fees and requires no family donations. ​

Local families often incur high costs at traditional day schools when covering daily transportation, extracurricular activities, academic enrichment, meals, evening tutoring, personalized counselling, and more – not to mention the time spent making all arrangements for their child. Our Weekday Boarding fees provide exceptional all-inclusive value. At Bodwell, we have it all covered in one campus and for one reasonable fee. 3. Our Manager of Local Enrolment & Family Engagement will reach out to you to set up an interview.
4. We my ask for reference letters from teachers, counsellors or administrators at your child's current school.
5. If applying to one of our Real World Academies, we require a portfolio showing evidence of related pursuits.
6. After acceptance, we make fee payment easy and transparent, with no enrolment fees or donations required.

As a BC Group 4 Independent School, Bodwell does not receive any government subsidy or capital funding but is required to follow the BC curriculum and other BC educational and operational requirements with rigorous annual inspections by the Ministry of Education and Child Care. Additionally, for Grades 8-10, Bodwell is authorized with IB World School certification by the International Baccalaureate.​
