Tuition and Fees

1. All fees are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes. Click here to see exchange rates. Bodwell High School is bonded with the British Columbia Ministry of Education and Child Care to protect fees paid. See our Bonding Policy here.
2. Application fee is required at the time of application. It is non-refundable.
3. Bodwell provides a Custodianship Declaration for students under the school’s boarding or homestay programs. It is non-refundable once the Declaration is issued.
4. The Tuition fee covers 5 courses per semester (excluding Advanced Placement courses), including 6 hours per day Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays and professional development days).
5. The Boarding Program fee covers a youth development program, provision of health care, study hall tutoring support (4 evenings/week), a variety of onsite and outing activities, leadership & service opportunities, shared accommodation (2-4 students/room), daily buffet breakfast and dinner, set lunch, and evening snack, bedding and linens, and laundry facilities. The Boarding Program is managed by Bodwell Student Services.
6. The Curricular & Co-curricular Activities fee covers mandatory field trips, clubs, and in-house activities organized by teachers and instructors during or beyond class time. Overnight trips, overseas trips and optional classes and clubs are separately charged for participation.
7. The Information Technology fee includes a PC laptop rental, Microsoft Office Suite and other required software, IT support and training, classroom collaboration tools, cloud storage, content filter protection and wireless Internet capabilities.

8.The Damage Deposit covers loss or damage to the laptop, books, musical instruments, and other equipment assigned to a student. It also covers damage to school/homestay properties caused by a student. An invoice will be issued to the parent/guardian of the student with a description of the loss or damage and the amount charged and is payable immediately.
9. Medical Insurance includes 3 months of Private Insurance followed by the B.C. Medical Services Plan for those on a valid study permit.
10. Additional school uniform items other than the basic uniform set are charged on a per item basis.
11. Each Deferral fee is charged when an applicant defers to report to school to the following semester from one originally applying for.
12. The Refund Administration fee is charged when a refund of fees is needed due to cancellation of application because of failure in obtaining a Study Permit.
13. The Airport Pick-up fee includes airport pick-up and transportation from YVR to Bodwell.
14. Graduation fee covers graduation ceremony, dinner, trip, yearbook, sweatshirt with graduate’s name, and other souvenirs.
15. A Saturday Enrichment Course includes 3 hours of weekly instruction typically during 13 Saturdays during a semester.
16. The individual meal plan is for students who require specially prepared meal options due medical needs, such as severe allergy reactions, upon approval from Bodwell nurses.

COMPREHENSIVE REFUND POLICY

* The application fee, custodianship declaration, & homestay placement fees are non-refundable. Medical Insurance is non-refundable once a student has reported to school. ** Refunds are applicable only to tuition, boarding, homestay, activities, IT, & graduation fee. (1) New students must pay all fees for 2 semesters when registered. (2) All fees are paid on a semester-by-semester basis and must be paid no less than 60 days before the 1st day of the returning semester.
