We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our nursing team as a casual nurse. We are recruiting candidates to begin October 1st, 2023.
Shifts will occur during daytime school hours M-F 7:45-3:45, Saturday 9am-1pm. Candidate must be available most if not all Saturdays. The hired candidate will work with our school nursing team, be offered Saturday shifts, as well as weekday shifts when a team nurse is away or sick (if needed). The successful candidate should be:
- Registered with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse
- Possess skills and experience to work with adolescents and their health (important pre-requisite),
- Have demonstrated capability of handling emergencies
- Enjoy working independently
- Possess computer skills for charting and communication
Candidates must be positive role models in their own daily habits and life outlook. Backgrounds in life skill mentorship and youth leadership are assets. Overseas and multicultural experiences are very helpful to the job.
