Class of 2005
Positive things were meeting great friends and teachers from different backgrounds, that helped me to open my mind to different cultures. I learned to live alone; my parents were in Mexico and so I had to be responsible, go to school and try not fail any classes.
I enjoyed the different activities like the ski trips, the dragon boat race, the BBQ's, Halloween parties, the awards ceremony that was held at the beginning of every new term. Also, classes like Ms. Chen´s Entrepreneur class: we had a café project where we sold bagels, sandwiches, and coffee to fellow students. I was in charge of the HR area, and honestly, I didn´t know what I was doing, but in the end we did well and even BC Junior Achievement gave us an award that year.
I always looked forward to Mr. Hallis coming to interrupt our classes. We would have a good laugh -- for example, about the new tie he was wearing which he said was a gift from his wife. Bodwell also shaped me to work long hours and under pressure. In one term I had three final exams from grade 12 courses on the same day: Math 12, Biology 12 and English 12. I sat in the gym for 9 hours taking one exam after the other. Good thing is I passed them all.
