Class of 2007

Although my time there was only 2 years, I really enjoyed the dorm life and the programs planned by the staff that really helped me settle in within the first 2 months of being home sick and fearful of living in a foreign county. So, the dorm community helped play a big part.

My favourite classes in Bodwell were Drama, Leadership/Entrepreneurship and Psychology. I also enjoyed going for Basketball/Swim practice.  The excellent lecturers played a big part too. Also, there were many opportunities for leadership development and sports available in the school which was amazing. I remember being part of the Mandela team with Berk and we are still friends till this day.

One of my fondest memories in Bodwell is of Mr. Burnett. He told me to join the track and field team even though I had never been in track before. What I really appreciate was that he took the time to coach me and I will never forget how he took me out for a run with him all the way to the end of the pier.  It really felt like I was in the movie Coach Carter and one of my all-time favourite movies Show Me The Father.  He told me to never give up even if I was coming last, and I did (I came first from the last), and never gave up! That experience has always reminded me to never give up.
