Since a humble beginning in 1991...

 

Bodwell has worked hard to build a quality, culturally diverse environment for its students to thrive in a global context. With the help of its community, partners, and staff, Bodwell has today become a leader in international education in Vancouver, Canada. 

 

Graduates join a community that is global, engaged, and motivated, with alumni that have proven success in their fields. 

 

The history of Bodwell

 

Celebrating our 30th anniversary, the school created a video depicting the history of the school, from a humble beginning with 6 students, to the globally recognized success of the school today.

 

Our Mission...

 

is to provide a culturally-diverse environment for students from around the globe, enabling them to become active learners and well-rounded citizens who contribute positively to the world. Our school will deliver high academic standards, and nurture students and graduates into citizens of good character.

 

The Bodwell Timeline

 
 
1991 - Bodwell is Founded
Bodwell College starts with its first class of 6 students in an office building near the core of Vancouver city
1998 - Continuing expansion
Bodwell College is renamed as Bodwell High School, now one of four schools under the Bodwell name
2003 - A new home
Forced to move from its rented campus, Bodwell moves to a new location, with a custom-built campus on waterfront property.
2005 - Declaring our mission
Bodwell declares its mission, "Strength in Diversity" as the school continues its expansion within its new home.
2007 - Athletic Success
Bodwell's student athletes win several first-place finishes in their leagues, including the Swim, Basketball, and Volleyball teams
2009 - 2012 - Service Trips
Bodwell students and staff undertake four service trips to various areas around the world, volunteering while connecting with locals in Kenya
2012 - West Wing
The Bodwell campus expands with the addition of a west wing and full cafeteria. Bodwell students begin to take active volunteering roles within the local community.
2017 - East Wing
Bodwell expands with its East Tower addition, with officials and consulate representatives from the city and province joining in celebration in a commemorative ceremony.
2021 - Our 30th Anniversary
Bodwell celebrates its 30th year with several initiatives, including the installation of a commemorative history wall on campus.
Today
Bodwell's community is thriving and continues to welcome new students from all around the world.
